چکیده
Spectral lines allow us to probe the thermodynamics of solar atmosphere, but shape a single spectral line may be similar for different thermodynamic solutions. Multiline analyses are therefore crucial, computationally cumbersome. We investigate correlations between several chromospheric and transition region restrain solutions atmosphere during flares. used machine-learning methods capture statistical dependencies 6 sourced from 21 large flares observed by NASA's Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS). The techniques based on an information-theoretic quantity called mutual information (MI), which captures both linear nonlinear lines. MI is estimated using categorical numeric method, performed separately collection quiet Sun flaring observations. Both approaches return consistent results, indicating weak under conditions, substantially enhanced with some line-pairs such as Mg II C having normalized score high 0.5. find that certain couple more readily than others, coherence in over many scale heights flares, all correlated GOES derivative, positive relationship correlation strength energy input. Our provide highly stable flexible framework quantifying physical quantities allowing obtain three-dimensional picture its state.

15 صفحه اولCorrelations between Spectral Parameters of Earthquakes and Damage Intensity in Different RC Frames
In recent decades many researchers have studied on the damage assessment of structures after a seismic event. To assess the damage of structures under an earthquake, it is so important to study the correlations between earthquake parameters and damages of the structures. A lot of seismic parameters have been defined by researchers to characterize an earthquake. Spectral parameters of an earthqu...
متن کاملMicrowave Spectral Evolution of Solar Flares
We analyze the time evolution of microwave spectral indices for 103 solar flares observed by Nobeyama Radio Polarimeters (NoRP) between 1998 and 2005. The microwave spectral index, .t/, is derived from the flux spectral index, ı.t/. We assume a flux frequency dependence of the form S. ;t/=F0 ı.t/ in the optically thin part, i.e., above the turnover frequency, fmax. Here, fmax is defined as the ...
متن کاملSpectral Hardening in Large Solar Flares
Observations by the Ramaty High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager (RHESSI) are used to quantitatively study the hard X-ray evolution in 5 large solar flares selected for spectral hardening in the course of the event. The X-ray bremsstrahlung emission from non-thermal electrons is characterized by two spectroscopically distinct phases: impulsive and gradual. The impulsive phase usually consists ...
متن کاملOn the relationship between shift and intensity of ultraviolet lines in coronal holes and the quiet Sun
We study the relationship between wavelength shifts and intensities of chromospheric, transition-region and coronal ultraviolet emission lines in polar coronal holes and in the normal quiet Sun using SUMER data. Within coronal holes almost all the lines showing the network and formed above 30 000 K show a correlation between blueshifts and brightness. This extends and supports the conclusion re...
